Fool for Loving You

Released in the summer of 2019 but written at the age of 16, Sabah Kenway's debut single 'Fool For Loving You' is a mellow and melodic, fresh take on the modern day r&b scene as it incorporates the bounce and groove of the 90’s and early 2000’s that we all love and recognise.

As the self-explanatory title suggests, fool for loving you talks about the story of an unrequited love, exploring the thoughts and feelings of putting all your effort into a relationship, only to receive minimal effort in return. With lyrics such as "how was I so blind I couldn’t see, that you were never there mentally when you were there with me" expands on the idea that your emotions can sometimes stop you from seeing a person’s true intentions which many people of all demographics can understand and relate to.

Shot and Directed by London Based photographer / videographer Imran Suleiman, the Fool for Loving You music video was released in November of 2019 and takes place all around Sabah’s hometown of London.

As her first official video, the main goal for this project was to establish Sabah as an artist by showcasing her laid back and nostalgic style as she walks you through her city in a grainy almost home-made style video, taking the audience back to a much simpler and familiar time.
